TOWNEPLACE SUITES BY MARRIOTT SAVANNAH MIDTOWN, Savannah

The hotel sits on Abercorn Street, a 6-minute walk from Varsity Park Shopping Centre and close to several restaurants including Olive Garden and Tokyo Cafe within 1 km. Downtown Savannah's historic district and River Street are roughly a 15-20 minute drive away, while Tybee Island is about 39 km (30-40 minutes by car). The property is about 14 km from I-95 and 26 km from Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. No airport shuttle runs, so a car or taxi is necessary. Free on-site parking makes car travel practical, and the well-lit area with nearby businesses is considered safe.

Room choices include studios and one- or two-bedroom suites. A Two-Bedroom Suite features two separate bedrooms with queen beds and a sleeper sofa in the living area, ideal for families. All rooms include a private bathroom with bath and shower, air conditioning, a work desk, coffee machine, and a TV with cable channels. Kitchens come with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, and cookware. Some rooms are wheelchair-accessible with grab rails, a roll-in shower, and lowered fixtures. While the property is recently renovated, some fixtures like carpets and shower heads show wear.

The free breakfast offers a variety of hot items such as eggs, turkey and pork sausage, bacon, and grits, plus breads, pastries, and beverages. The selection changes daily, which helps avoid repetition. Coffee and breakfast items may run out early, especially on busy days. No on-site restaurant or bar is available, but several dining options are within a short walk (Olive Garden, Tokyo Cafe, Southside Seafood all within 1 km) or a quick drive. Guests wanting a fuller meal outside breakfast hours will find many nearby choices.

The year-round outdoor pool is a key leisure feature, open in all seasons and well-maintained. A hot tub is also available. The fitness centre is free to use and equipped for a basic workout. No spa or wellness centre is on site. The pool area provides a pleasant counter to the heat. The property also features an electric vehicle charging station for guest use.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout; an enhanced connection costs $4.95 per night. On-site self-parking is free and plentiful around the property, with no reservation needed. A 24-hour front desk provides key card access, luggage storage, and basic requests. Business centre, fax/photocopying, and laundry facilities ($4 per load, card only) are available. Pets are allowed with a $100 non-refundable fee. The property is wheelchair accessible with a lift, and rooms can be modified for accessibility. Enhanced Wi-Fi is an option for remote workers needing reliable speed.
