VOGO GRAND HOTEL FORMERLY BEST WESTERN PLUS HOTEL DUBAI ACADEMIC CITY, Dubai

The hotel is located within the quiet, university-focused Academic City area, making it ideal for visitors to nearby campuses such as Amity University and the British University of Dubai. The property sits 19 km from Dubai International Airport. A taxi to the nearest metro station (Centrepoint or Dubai Mall) takes 20-30 minutes. While the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to the Mall of the Emirates, car access is the most practical way to reach major attractions. Free private parking is available. The RTA bus stop is a 2-minute walk (200 metres). Nearby, a pharmacy, medical centre, and three restaurants with affordable food are within a short walk, plus a grocery store and barber. A park adjacent to the hotel features Careem bike hire for leisurely rides.

The on-site Garden Restaurant serves a daily buffet breakfast (45 AED per person) with decent variety, including Arabic and international options. Lunch and dinner are also buffet-style, with a rotating selection of dishes; the à la carte menu is more limited. The restaurant has a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere, and the bar offers daily Happy Hour from 12:00 to 19:00. For guests wanting to eat nearby, a couple of Indian/Asian restaurants are within a short walk. The restaurant staff are noted for their attentive service. The hotel also houses a minimarket for snacks and essentials.

The rooftop swimming pool is open year-round, featuring a pool bar, sun loungers, umbrellas, and a shallow end. While the pool area itself is functional, the surrounding deck is simple. The fitness centre is better than average for a hotel of this category, with a good range of machines and free weights, plus a water dispenser. The pool is in a separate building block from some rooms, so accessing it requires a short walk. For leisure, there is also a games area with pool and foosball.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Private parking is free but must be reserved in advance. The 24-hour front desk can assist with currency exchange, concierge, and taxi bookings. A complimentary shuttle runs three times daily to Mall of the Emirates. Luggage storage is available for an additional charge. The hotel has a business centre, meeting/banquet facilities, and a minimarket. For accessibility, there is accessible parking, raised toilets, grab rails, and wheelchair access. Safety features include 24-hour security, CCTV, key card access, and safety deposit boxes. Payment can be made by cash, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. The hotel does not provide visa services.
