VR OBREGON APARTMENTS, Madrid

The apartments sit on a quiet residential street in a safe neighbourhood, yet the main tourist attractions are easily reachable on foot or by metro. Atocha train and bus station is under a kilometre away, giving direct access to the airport (15 km) and high-speed rail. Two metro stations are within a five-minute walk - only three stops to Puerta del Sol. A Dia supermarket is two minutes away, with bakeries and local cafés even closer. For those arriving by car, no parking is available on site, so street parking or nearby garages must be used.

Each apartment is newly renovated, tastefully decorated, and matches the photos exactly. The standard studio offers a double bed with additional beds on a mezzanine level - ideal for families or groups of three to four. All units are soundproofed, air-conditioned, and face a quiet street, so sleep quality is consistently high. The kitchens include a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, stove, kettle, coffee maker, and essential cookware, making self-catering easy. The bathrooms have excellent shower pressure and hairdryers. A washing machine and dryer are available in a shared hallway, with detergent provided. Some apartments are on the ground floor but still feel private and not overlooked.

The apartments do not have a restaurant, bar, or breakfast service, but the full kitchen (with dishwasher, stove, pots, pans, and coffee maker) makes it simple to prepare meals. A Dia supermarket is a two-minute walk, and several bakeries and specialty shops are on the doorstep. Within a 300-metre radius, restaurants include Bread&Riccotta, Restaurante Peruano Shari's, Taco & Burro Maya, and Los Vazquez. Havana Blues and Goiko Grill are within 0.5 km, and a food market with butcher, cheese, and vegetable stalls is nearby.

Wi-Fi is available throughout and is free. The check-in is fully self-service via a door code, which is provided at the official 16:00 check-in time; late arrivals receive their code automatically. There is no front desk - a telephone number is available for emergencies. The host responds quickly on messaging apps (particularly Telegram) and has been noted for helpful communication. Luggage lockers are provided, allowing bags to be stored securely before check-in or after checkout. A shared washing machine and dryer are located in the hallway, with detergent included. The building has security cameras and smoke alarms.
