WOODSPRING SUITES RENO SPARKS, Sparks

The hotel sits right off Interstate 80 in Sparks, providing straightforward car access to the Reno-Sparks area. Reno-Tahoe International Airport is 7 km away; no airport shuttle is available, so driving or a rideshare is needed. Sparks Heritage Museum is 5 km south, and the Reno-Sparks Convention Center is 16 km east. A shopping center, gas stations, and fast-food outlets are within walking distance. The free on-site parking requires no reservation, making car travel simple. The immediate freeway access suits those traveling by car for work or medical appointments.

Each room offers a well-equipped kitchen area, though no pots, pans, dishes, or utensils are supplied-these can be purchased at the front desk. Rooms feature air conditioning, heating, a seating area, and a TV with cable channels. Desk space is small but present. Beds are on platform metal frames. Sound insulation is minimal; noise from hallways and neighboring rooms is common. Bathrooms lack a fan, so humidity after a shower can be high. Daily housekeeping does not occur-service is bi-weekly, with towel exchange available at the front desk during evening hours. The shower head delivers moderate water pressure.

WoodSpring Suites does not serve breakfast or have a restaurant or bar. The property provides vending machines with snacks and drinks. The full kitchen in each room allows self-catering, but all cooking equipment and tableware must be acquired separately (available for purchase at the front desk). Fast-food outlets and a shopping center are within walking distance for dining and grocery shopping.

A fitness centre is available for guests. There is no swimming pool or hot tub. The on-site laundry (washers and dryers) is accessible for an additional charge, which can be useful for longer stays. The hotel is designed for practical stays rather than leisure recreation.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas but has been noted as unreliable for heavy use. Parking is free and private on site with no reservation needed, and accessible parking spots are available. The 24-hour front desk provides key card access and invoice services. Laundry is available for an additional charge. The lift provides access to upper floors, though it has been known to be out of service. The property is wheelchair accessible with features including auditory guidance, toilet grab rails, Braille visual aids, and wheelchair access. Pets (dogs and cats, up to two per room) are allowed with a non-refundable deposit ($50) plus a per-day fee that varies by length of stay. The hotel accepts major credit cards (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, Carte Blanche) but does not accept cash.
