AB EIXAMPLE CALABRIA, Barcelona

Located 11 km from Barcelona El Prat Airport, the apartment sits in a safe, vibrant neighbourhood filled with local cafés and shops. Rocafort metro station (L1) is a 5-minute walk, providing direct access to the city centre and Sants station. Plaça de Catalunya is 2 km away, and the Boqueria Market is an 18-minute stroll. The proximity to the Magic Fountain of Montjuic (13 min) and Plaça Espanya (10-15 min on foot) makes it convenient for sightseeing, while the area's many restaurants and supermarkets offer a truly local feel.

Each unit features a living room, between one and three separate bedrooms, and a bathroom with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. Kitchens are well-fitted with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and coffee machine-plus kitchenware and a washing machine. Select apartments include a balcony or terrace, while some rooms overlook a school courtyard and can be noisier in the morning. Air conditioning is in all rooms, though some units share a single remote. The apartments are generally quiet despite being on a main street, but road-facing units may experience some traffic noise.

The apartment kitchens provide all the essentials for preparing meals, making self-catering straightforward. A starter kit with basic supplies (including coffee, tea, dishwasher tablets, and cleaning products) is provided. For those wanting to eat out, the surrounding streets are lined with cafés, bakeries, and restaurants-many within a 5-minute walk-offering everything from tapas to pizza. The area has a distinctly local feel, so you can easily find a good breakfast spot or a relaxed evening meal without heading to the tourist hubs.

While the apartment itself does not have a pool, spa, or gym, the excellent location compensates with nearby leisure options. The Magic Fountain of Montjuic is a 13-minute walk, offering free nightly light-and-music shows in season. Plaça Espanya and the Arenas shopping centre are within easy walking distance, and Montjuïc park is accessible for a jog or a stroll. The neighbourhood is exceptionally well served by public transport, so the beach and other attractions are a short metro ride away.

Internet access is free throughout. The building has a lift, and guests can store luggage at the AB Apartment office when arriving early or departing late. Responses to messages are prompt, and the office staff are helpful in person. A security deposit of €200 is charged and refundable within three weeks after check-out. Payment is accepted via Visa and MasterCard. Parking is not available on site, so guests arriving by car should plan to use one of the nearby public car parks.
