BCN URBANESS HOTELS DEL COMTE, Barcelona

The hotel sits in a lively residential area packed with restaurants, bars, and supermarkets within a few hundred metres. Urgell metro (L1) puts you two stops from Plaça Catalunya and two stops from Plaça Espanya (Montjuïc). Many key sights - Gothic Quarter, La Boqueria, MACBA - are within a 20-30 minute walk. The Aerobus stop to El Prat Airport is just a 2-3 minute stroll, making transfers simple. The neighbourhood feels safe and walkable, ideal for city breaks.

Rooms feature parquet floors, smart décor, and come in double, twin (2 beds), and triple (3 beds) configurations. Each has a private bathroom with walk-in shower or bath, hairdryer, and free toiletries. In-room amenities include a safe, electric kettle, and satellite TV. Soundproofing is limited - internal corridor noise and street sounds can be an issue, especially in road-facing rooms. Some rooms are compact, particularly the triangular room 221. Air conditioning effectiveness can vary. No minibar or balcony available. Daily housekeeping maintains high cleanliness standards.

The breakfast buffet includes a limited range of hot items, mostly continental fare. Some find the selection modest, especially for protein (eggs are not always available). Coffee and tea are provided. The hotel has no restaurant or bar for other meals, but the surrounding area is full of dining choices within a 3-5 minute walk - from casual Italian to tapas and brunch spots. For a full meal, you'll need to eat out.
