A multi-line vaporetto stop is only a few dozen metres away, making water-bus travel to St. Mark's Square (25-minute walk, shorter by boat), the Biennale, and the Lido effortless. The host will often meet guests at the station to guide them directly to the entrance, which is helpful because Google Maps can struggle with the narrow streets. For airport arrivals, the water taxi from Marco Polo Airport (13 km) drops you close by, or you can take the airport bus to Piazzale Roma and walk across the bridge. Within 0.5 km you'll find eight restaurants, gelaterias, and pizzerias, plus a supermarket for self-catering supplies.

The apartment comprises a separate bedroom (1 double bed), a living room with a sofa bed, and a bathroom with shower and bidet. It is suited for two adults or a family of four (the sofa bed accommodates two teenagers comfortably). The private entrance and ground-floor position make it easy to carry luggage inside. A balcony with city views extends from the living area, and tiled floors keep the space cool. All rooms feel roomy - the host has equipped them with comfortable beds, a washing machine, ironing facilities, and thoughtful extras like board games, a CD player, and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. During warm months, two high-powered fans compensate for the lack of air conditioning. The kitchen includes a stovetop, microwave, refrigerator, electric kettle, and full cookware, plus coffee and tea facilities - ideal for self-catering throughout the stay.

Check-out at 11:00 is standard, but the host has been known to allow luggage to remain inside the apartment for a few hours after checkout, avoiding the need to visit paid storage at the station.
