HOTEL ACTUAL, Barcelona

The hotel sits in a prime central location, literally around the corner from the main shopping street and directly behind Casa Milà (La Pedrera). The metro station entrance is practically outside the door, and the train station is a 5-minute walk away, making the entire city and El Prat airport easily accessible without a car. Numerous restaurants, bars, and cafés - including Bar Mut, Gambito Bcn, and Artespanol - are within a 5-minute walk. The area remains peaceful despite being so central, offering a quiet base for exploring Barcelona's architectural highlights on foot.

Rooms are air-conditioned and soundproofed, providing a restful environment. All include a flat-screen TV with cable channels, kettle, safe, and wardrobe. The family room accommodates groups with three beds, while double and single rooms are available; the single also offers a twin option. Some rooms feature a private balcony with views of Passeig de Gràcia or La Pedrera - these are worth requesting. The Junior Suite combines minimalist modern design with original historic features and a sitting area. Daily housekeeping and complimentary bottled water and sweets are provided. Beds are large and comfortable, though some travellers find the firmness a personal preference.

The rooftop terrace provides a relaxing outdoor space with seating and views of the Barcelona skyline and the surrounding Modernist architecture - a pleasant spot for unwinding. Indoor wellness is limited to the fitness centre, which is free for guests. There is no spa, sauna, jacuzzi, or swimming pool on-site, making the hotel better suited for city explorers who prioritise location and sightseeing over extensive leisure facilities.

The hotel provides a wide range of practical services for city travellers. The 24-hour front desk allows for late arrivals, and luggage storage is available if rooms are not ready by 14:00. Laundry and dry cleaning are offered for an additional fee, and the tour desk can help plan excursions. A safety deposit box is available in room. Wi-Fi is free and works throughout the building. Cots are available on request, but pets are not accepted. Rates are per room, not per person, making family booking straightforward.
