Gracia is a quieter, less touristy neighbourhood filled with international bars, restaurants, grocery stores, and quirky boutiques. The metro connection to Passeig de Gracia and the city centre requires one change at Fontana, making the Sagrada Familia and other attractions easily reachable. Park Güell is within walking distance. The area feels safe to walk even late at night, and the surrounding streets have plenty of cafes and dining options. For airport transfers, the Aerobus takes about 30 minutes to Plaça de Catalunya, then a short metro ride; no direct shuttle is offered.

All rooms are mixed or female-only dorms (4-6 people) with no private bathrooms. Top bunks have steep ladders that may be difficult for some to climb, and the mattresses on some beds may be thin or slouched. Bedding is provided but may feel basic. The dormitory lights are centrally controlled and remain on until 23:00, a potential issue for those wanting an early night. The rooms have individually controlled air conditioning, which can sometimes be unreliable in very hot weather. Noise from neighbouring rooms and the street can be audible, as soundproofing is limited. Each bed has a personal socket and lamp, and lockers are spacious.

Breakfast is a buffet with bread, pastries, cold cuts, cereal, and hot drinks; it is described as satisfactory and unlimited. No restaurant is on-site, but the fully equipped shared kitchen is free to use for self-catering. The hostel offers a paid family-style dinner every evening, and sometimes a free pasta night. Gracia has many restaurants, cafes, and bars within a 2-minute walk, including MEXCLA, Arrosseria Xativa, and Pepa Tomate. Vending machines for drinks and snacks are available at the hostel.

Leisure facilities are focused on social interaction rather than fitness. There is no pool, spa, gym, or sauna. Free activities include walking tours, pub crawls, and table tennis.
