AIDEN BY BEST WESTERN SOUTH RENO, Reno

The property is located on a busy through road, so rooms facing the street can pick up traffic noise - requesting a pool-side room helps. Nearby amenities include Whole Foods Market, Barnes & Noble, and several restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. The convention centre is 1 km (4 minutes) by car or an 18-minute walk. Casinos such as Peppermill and Atlantis are a quick Uber ride away. Free on-site parking and easy access to the airport make this a practical base for convention-goers and travellers alike.

Standard double and quadruple rooms come with a tea and coffee maker, safe, air conditioning, and heating. King suite kitchenettes add a sofa bed and a kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave. Some suites have a full kitchen with dishwasher, pots, pans, and utensils. The rooms are spacious but lighting is dim - even with all lamps on, the space feels dark, especially near the sink. Beds are generally comfortable, though firmness varies. Walls are thin; noise from neighbours and outdoor areas can travel. There are no balconies or private bathrooms with separate entrances. Power outlets lack USB ports. Bathrooms have walk-in showers (no tub) with good water pressure. The overall feel is clean and functional, best suited for short stays or travellers who prioritise location and value.

The pool is open during the summer months only, typically from 09:00 to 20:00, and features a shallow end, a fence, and pool towels. There is no hot tub or spa. The adjacent lawn has outdoor furniture, a picnic area, and games such as cornhole, making it a social space for families and groups. The fitness centre is free and includes basic cardio and strength equipment. Bicycles are available free of charge for exploring the neighbourhood. The property also has an outdoor fireplace for evening use. Overall, the leisure facilities are modest but well-maintained, best enjoyed during warmer weather.

Internet is fast and free throughout the property. Parking is free and does not require a reservation; electric vehicle charging is available. The front desk is staffed 24/7 and can assist with taxis or ride-hailing. Express check-in/check-out is offered. A business centre and meeting/banquet facilities are available for an extra charge. The hotel has a laundry room (fee), a shared lounge/TV area, and safety deposit boxes. Accessibility features include wheelchair access, lowered bathroom sinks, raised toilets with grab rails, and visual aids. Only dogs are permitted in designated rooms. Note that luggage storage is not always available - it is best to confirm directly if you need it before check-in or after check-out. The property also has an ATM on site and full-day security.
