Plaza Resort Club Reno overlooks the Truckee River, directly across from the riverwalk path. The Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts is a 5-minute walk; casinos like Silver Legacy, El Dorado, and Harrah's are within 10 minutes. Greater Nevada Field (home of the Reno Aces) is 1 km away, and UNR is a 5-minute drive. Reno-Tahoe International Airport is 8 km (8 km) away - no shuttle service, but taxis and rideshares are available. The area offers dozens of restaurants and bars within a 2-block radius, including Sabrina's West Street Kitchen, Sierra Tap House, Campo, and Thai Corner Cafe. Originally built as time-share suites, the rooms are notably larger than standard hotel rooms. The Deluxe Regal King includes a king bed, a double sofa bed, a full kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker, plus a jetted tub (not a jacuzzi). All rooms feature high-speed WiFi, flat-screen TV, dining table, hairdryer, iron, and safe. Dishes are available on request. Some rooms have carpeted floors; air conditioning and heating are effective and quiet. While the property shows its age with some dated furnishings and carpets, rooms are consistently clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows receive high marks. For light sleepers, rooms facing the back of the building are quieter - street-facing rooms may pick up noise from nearby nightlife.

The Plaza Resort Club does not serve breakfast or have a restaurant. Complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available in the 7th-floor guest lounge from 7am to 10pm. Thirsty's Cocktail Lounge, also on the 7th floor, offers wine, local beers, and craft cocktails on Friday and Saturday from 5pm to close. The General Store, at the front desk, sells snacks, beer, wine, and sundries. The surrounding Riverwalk District has dozens of dining options within a short walk - the front desk can provide recommendations. Notable nearby restaurants include Crafted Pallet (across the street for breakfast), Thali, Campo, and Sierra Tap House.

The 7th floor houses a heated indoor pool (30.0 °C, open 8am-10pm year-round) with pool towels provided and a TV nearby. A sundeck offers city and mountain views.
