The hotel occupies a traditional Florentine house with high ceilings and, in some rooms, original frescoed ceilings. Room configurations vary by booking: some rooms have an ensuite private bathroom with shower, bidet, and hairdryer; others have a private bathroom located just outside the room but not within it; the most economical option uses a shared bathroom in the corridor. Only rooms with an ensuite bathroom are air-conditioned; all others are cooled by a fan. Wooden floors are typical and can be creaky. The building has a small lift (fits one person or luggage) but requires climbing several flights of stairs for some rooms. Rooms with a Duomo-facing window are highly sought after for their view, but also receive more street noise.
