PREMIER INN HAMBURG CITY ALSTER, Hamburg

Located 2 km from Hamburg Central Station and 9 km from the airport, the hotel sits in a convenient, safe area. Two separate metro stations (U-Bahn Lübecker Strasse and S-Bahn Landwehr) are within a 3-5 minute walk, making the city centre reachable in 3-4 stops. Inner Alster Lake is 3 km and Miniatur Wunderland 5 km away. A Rewe supermarket is directly across the street, and numerous restaurants are within a short walking distance. The area is well-served by buses and trains, reducing reliance on a car. Parking is paid, and some rooms facing the street or supermarket car park can experience noise from traffic and early-morning deliveries.

Standard double, twin, triple, and quadruple rooms are available, all featuring air conditioning, an electric kettle, and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Bed configurations range from a single double to three beds for the quadruple. Rooms are generally clean and comfortable at check-in, though some furnishings show wear. The bathrooms are compact, and a semi-transparent glass door to the toilet means light spills into the room when used at night. Sound insulation is limited - road-facing rooms can be noisy, especially with windows open. Some reports indicate that heating and air-conditioning units may not function consistently, and rooms facing the courtyard are generally quieter.

The breakfast selection includes hot options like scrambled eggs and beans, plus cold items such as overnight oats, cereals, fruit, bread, espresso coffee, and real tea. Vegan and gluten-free alternatives are available. The breakfast is served buffet-style and is free for children under 18 using existing beds. There is no named on-site restaurant other than a lounge/bar area, which serves drinks and offers a pleasant space to relax. Several restaurants and a supermarket are within a short walk for alternative dining. The breakfast price is separate from the room rate and should be confirmed at booking.

The main leisure offering at the hotel is the lounge area, which provides a comfortable space for reading, working, or unwinding. There is no fitness centre, swimming pool, sauna, or spa on the premises. For outdoor activities, the surrounding area offers ice-skating and boating facilities, and the Alster Lake is 3 km away. The hotel welcomes cyclists and allows bicycles to be stored in the room or parking garage.
