Overlooking the River Kelvin, the Ambassador Hotel sits opposite Glasgow's Botanic Gardens in the vibrant West End.
The hotel is a five-minute walk from the shops, bars, and restaurants of Byres Road, and the Hillhead subway station is within a 10-minute walk, providing direct access to the city centre. The University of Glasgow and Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum are also within walking distance. Glasgow International Airport is 9 km away, and a 45-minute train ride connects to Edinburgh. The location is quiet and leafy, offering a peaceful retreat while keeping the city well within reach.

Accommodation

Rooms are individually styled with en-suite shower rooms, tea/coffee facilities, and free WiFi.
A mix of single, double, twin, triple, and family rooms is available, along with a few self-contained apartments with kitchenettes. Room sizes vary: some are spacious with king-size beds and modern walk-in showers, while others, particularly single and attic rooms, are compact. Road-facing rooms can be noisier, and some attic rooms have restricted headroom. All rooms are heated and have carpeted floors, a flat-screen TV, and a seating area. Ground-floor rooms are available on request. Lumpy pillows and creaky floorboards have been noted in some rooms, but many guests report a comfortable stay.

A full Scottish or continental breakfast is served each morning in the breakfast room for an additional charge.
Breakfast is available at a cost of £12 per person and includes a cooked Scottish breakfast with items such as poached eggs on toast, as well as a continental selection. Special dietary requirements, such as vegetarian and vegan options (dairy-free milk), can be accommodated with advance notice. The breakfast room operates from 07:30 Monday to Saturday and from 08:00 on Sunday. The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but drinks are available from the terrace throughout the day.
