The hotel sits on Great Western Road, 10 minutes' drive from the city centre and 25 minutes from Loch Lomond. Hillhead Underground station is a short walk, providing direct access to the city centre and Glasgow Central Station. Ibrox Stadium is 56 minutes on foot or 26 minutes by public transport. The area is known for its independent shops, cafés, and the free Botanic Gardens opposite. On-street parking is available but has paid hours; the free parking period (6pm-8am weekdays and all Sunday) makes it convenient for evening arrivals and weekend stays.

Room types include doubles, twins, family rooms (two singles plus a double), singles, and premium rooms with a 2-person jacuzzi bath. The king room overlooks the Botanic Gardens. Rooms are accessed via stairwell only - no lift. Basement rooms have low ceilings and limited natural light; top-floor attic rooms require climbing 67 steps and can become warm. Some rooms on lower floors offer larger layouts. Bed sizes vary: standard doubles are available, but some rooms have a smaller double (approx. 1.2 m wide). Bathrooms are en suite or private, with showers (all have a step; no walk-in showers). The building retains original features such as high ceilings, fireplaces, and a glass cupola. Staff assist with luggage.

The hotel does not currently offer breakfast or any on-site food service. The bar provides a lounge area with drinks available until 10pm. The West End location offers a wide range of restaurants, cafés, and bars on Byres Road, within a few minutes' walk, including options like Cail Bruich and Hotel du Vin & Bistro. Guests should plan meals at nearby establishments.

There is no spa, swimming pool, or gym at the hotel. Leisure activities are limited to the surrounding area: the Botanic Gardens are directly opposite, and the West End offers many parks and walking routes. A golf course is available within 3 km (additional charge). For relaxation, the hotel's bar and common areas provide a quiet setting.
