The nearby motorway junction makes driving quick, but some apartments facing the main road experience continuous traffic noise, and the multi-storey car park opposite can reduce privacy in certain rooms. Ubers are sometimes reluctant to pick up directly outside due to the motorway access. For public transport, bus stops are a few minutes' walk and connect to the centre. A car is helpful for reaching Glasgow University (5 km) or for late-night returns, but the cathedral quarter itself is pleasant for walking.

Each apartment features two separate bedrooms, a living room, and either one or two bathrooms with a bath and shower. The fully equipped kitchen includes a stovetop, oven, fridge, washing machine, and tea/coffee-making facilities, making self-catering straightforward. Rooms are generally comfortable and spacious, with parquet or laminate flooring, high ceilings, and generous wardrobe space. Some apartments have a terrace or balcony with views over the Necropolis. However, maintenance can be inconsistent: several units have reported issues such as heating not working, bathroom fixtures loose, cupboard doors hanging off, and general wear and tear. The apartments near the main road or the multi-storey car park can be noisy and lack privacy, while internal-facing rooms tend to be quieter. Beds are widely described as very comfortable, though a minority of rooms have mattresses that feel hard. Overall, the accommodation suits groups or families who value space and kitchen facilities over modern finishes.

Leisure activities rely on exploring the surrounding area: Glasgow Cathedral and the Necropolis are a 4-minute walk, George Square 15 minutes, and boating is available nearby.
