ANGELUS VATICANUS ROOM, Rome

The property sits in the top-rated area near the Vatican, placing St. Peter's Basilica within a 10-minute walk and Piazza Navona within reach on foot or a short metro ride. The Cipro Metro station (Line A) is a 5-minute walk, providing direct connections to Termini station and the Spanish Steps. Numerous restaurants, cafés and a minimarket are within 300 metres on foot. Rome Ciampino Airport is 18 km away; the area is well-served by buses and taxis. The neighbourhood is lively during the day and quieter in the evening, with an ice-skating rink nearby.

Each room is a double with a double bed and a private bathroom that includes free toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, a hairdryer, and either a bathtub or shower. A flat-screen TV with streaming services, soundproof walls, a private entrance, tea and coffee facilities, and a safety deposit box are standard. The rooms are modern and clean but compact, with limited storage space-only a few hangers. Some rooms have an open-plan layout where the toilet and shower are visible from the bed, which may affect privacy. Rooms facing the road can be noisier; garden-view rooms are quieter. The electric kettle and complimentary tea/coffee are a welcome convenience.

The breakfast service is a basic continental offering with bread, pastries, fresh juice, pancakes, fruits, and hot drinks. It is served in-room or at a nearby café. For those who prefer a fuller meal, there is a bar, snack bar, and a coffee shop on site, and a wide range of restaurants are within a 3-minute walk, including Mexican and Italian options. Wine and champagne can be ordered on site for an additional charge.

The outdoor spaces consist of a shared garden and a terrace, suitable for a quiet break or reading. For leisure, the surrounding Vatican area offers an ice-skating rink and numerous walking routes to historical sites. Those seeking a fitness centre or spa will need to use facilities elsewhere in the city.

Services include daily housekeeping, a luggage storage service (charged after check-out), and a private check-in/check-out process. The property is secured with 24-hour security, CCTV, smoke alarms, and key card access. Pets are allowed for an additional fee. Parking is available at a nearby paid public garage (€1.50/hour), with accessible parking and an electric vehicle charging station. A minimarket and coffee shop are on site. Reception is not a full-service desk; communication is typically via WhatsApp, and late arrivals are accommodated by prior arrangement. The lift provides access to upper floors.
