ANGLETERRE HOTEL, Paris

The hotel sits in the 18th arrondissement, a bustling and diverse area around Barbes. Gare du Nord is a 5-minute walk, and Gare de l'Est is 10 minutes on foot, making it ideal for Eurostar and train travellers. The Barbes-Rochechouart Metro station is only 120 metres away, offering direct lines to Châtelet and Père Lachaise. Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur are within a 10-minute walk. Charles de Gaulle Airport is a 20-minute drive. The immediate streets are busy day and night, with a high police presence, groups gathered around the station, and some street activity. Walking alone after dark may feel uncomfortable. For daytime exploration, the area is practical and well-connected, but using the metro for evening trips is recommended.

Breakfast is a simple continental buffet with bread, pastries, butter, jam, and a choice of coffee or tea. It is served in the ground-floor dining room. The breakfast is adequate for a light start but limited in variety. A vending machine for drinks and snacks is available on site. The surrounding streets have numerous bakeries, cafés, and fast-food outlets such as McDonald's, Burger King, and KFC within a couple of minutes' walk, providing more options for those who prefer a different breakfast or lunch.

The hotel does not have a gym, pool, spa, or leisure area. The shared lounge/TV area provides a basic space for relaxation. The main recreational option is the surrounding neighbourhood, with Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur a short walk away.
