The hostel is steps from the orange metro line, placing guests within easy walking distance of Concordia University, McGill University, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the 14-km Lachine Canal path. The 747 bus from Montréal-Trudeau Airport stops at René-Lévesque / Bishop, a 5-minute walk away, with the journey taking 30-40 minutes. Old Montreal, with its historic landmarks and nightlife, is a 15-minute walk or a short metro ride. The area is safe and central, though the Lucien-L'Allier metro station involves many stairs. Nearby attractions include Mount Royal (accessible via a free hostel walking tour) and the RESO underground city, a 10-minute walk away, offering a network of shops and eateries sheltered from winter weather.

Accommodation

Private and shared rooms are available, all with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning. Dorms range from 4 to 10 beds and private rooms include double or family setups.
Shared rooms (4, 6, or 10 beds) include linen, towels, individual lockers (locks for rent), and access to electric outlets. The 4-bed option is the most spacious and quiet, while 10-bed dorms are tighter with only one shower/toilet per room, which can lead to waits. Bunk beds in some dorm configurations can be creaky or wobbly, and lack under-bed storage, so luggage may take up floor space. For better comfort, private rooms are recommended: the double room has a TV, and the family room (a double bed plus a single bed) also includes a TV. Ventilation and temperature control can be inconsistent, with some rooms having no openable windows and central air conditioning that cannot be individually adjusted. Overall, rooms are functional and clean, but the property is more basic than photos suggest. No rooms have balconies.
