The hotel sits between the Rideau Canal and Elgin Street's restaurant and bar strip, putting Parliament Hill, the National Gallery, Canadian Museum of Nature, National Arts Centre, and Rideau Shopping Centre within a comfortable walk. The ByWard Market and Sparks Street Mall are also walking distance. The Rideau Canal Skateway and Sens Rink of Dreams are one block away in winter. University of Ottawa is a 15-minute walk. The immediate area is quieter than the Byward Market, with grocery (Farm Boy) and a Dollarama nearby. Parking is paid on site; no hotel airport shuttle is available, but the central location makes car-free exploration easy.

All suites include a fully equipped kitchen (stove, fridge, dishwasher, cookware, dishes, and utensils), a combined living/dining area with a double sofa bed, a private balcony, and a private bathroom with bathtub. Bed configurations range from double, queen, and king beds to two twin beds (Two-Bedroom Suite) or two extra-long double beds (Deluxe Double). Selected suites such as the VIP and Executive King offer air jet tubs or hydromassage showers. The Penthouse and Penthouse 2 suites add rooftop terraces, city views, fireplaces, and en-suite laundry. The tower wing rooms are older and more dated; requesting a main-building room generally provides a fresher interior. Decor and furniture are functional but can feel tired - the focus is on space and practicality rather than modern design. Interconnecting rooms are available upon request.

The hotel restaurant is not operating at this time, and there are no in-house breakfast or dinner options. Each suite has a full kitchen, allowing self-catering for all meals. Several restaurants, pubs, and cafes are within a short walk on Elgin Street (Clocktower Brew Pub, The Whalesbone, Zak's Diner, Ministry of Coffee, The Fox & Feather), and a Farm Boy supermarket is nearby for groceries. Room service is listed as available but may depend on restaurant availability.

The indoor pool (33 x 6.1 m) is open daily from 9:00 to 22:00 and is popular with families. The fitness centre provides cardio machines, weights, and dumbbells. The cedar wood sauna and hot tub are available for relaxation. Outside there is a garden patio, playground, and shuffleboard court. The children's playroom is indoors and free to use. Please note that the pool area and certain amenities (gym, kids playroom, hot tub) have been subject to periodic closures for renovations, and the pool has sometimes been reported as cold.
