The hotel sits on a quiet side street in the lively Mitte district, surrounded by galleries, cafés, and restaurants. Oranienburger Straße S-Bahn station is a 2-minute walk away, providing direct connections to Friedrichstraße (1 stop) and to BER Airport via the S9. The tram stop is also nearby, and many top attractions - including the New Synagogue, Museum Island, Unter den Linden, and the Brandenburg Gate - are within a 10-15 minute walk. The Christmas markets are also close. The area feels safe and vibrant even at night, with plenty of bars and bistros. For drivers, the hotel is in the Berlin environmental zone (fine-dust sticker required); paid garages are available nearby but no on-site parking.

The 66 rooms range from 15-22 m2 and are decorated in warm tones with parquet flooring, high ceilings, and many feature original stucco. All rooms include a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, flat-screen TV, kettle, desk, heating, and a fan (no air conditioning). Views are either of the quiet inner courtyard or the side street, where the golden dome of the New Synagogue can be seen. Some apartments come with a small kitchen unit (sink, fridge, microwave, crockery). Twin rooms are available with beds that can be separated. A common remark about the property is that the bathrooms can feel compact and basic in some rooms, while others are more modern and spacious; rooms on upper floors tend to be brighter. Road-facing rooms and rooms near the lift or automatic doors may pick up some noise, so light sleepers are better off requesting a courtyard view. The lifts are small but functional. Extra pillows are available on request.

The hotel does not have its own restaurant or bar. For breakfast, a buffet is offered at the martas Restaurant Alvis (Albrechtstraße 8, a short walk away) for €20.50 per person, featuring a rich selection including healthy options. There is no on-site dining in the evenings. For a lighter start, a free self-service coffee and tea station is available in the ground-floor lounge, where guests can also enjoy snacks brought from outside. The surrounding area is packed with cafés, bakeries (including Wiener Brot, 0.5 km away), and restaurants of various cuisines within a few minutes' walk. Many guests choose to pick up fresh bread and pastries from nearby bakeries and eat in the hotel lounge or courtyard.
