HOTEL BARTOLOMEO, Venice

The hotel is situated in a typical Venetian 'calle' (alley), offering immediate access to the Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal. The Vaporetto water bus stop 'Rialto Banca d'Italia' is a 2-minute walk, providing direct connections to Santa Lucia train station and Marco Polo Airport via the Alilaguna orange line. St Mark's Square is a 10-minute stroll, and numerous shops, restaurants, and cafés are clustered around the bridge. The narrow setting means the hotel is sheltered from the main thoroughfares, but the adjacent bar can create noise in the evening. For those arriving by car, parking is available at Tronchetto or Piazzale Roma, followed by a short vaporetto journey.

Breakfast is not included in the room rate but can be added at check-out (approximately €10-20 per person). The buffet offers pastries, breads, cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cheese, cold cuts, hard-boiled eggs, and made-to-order toast. Gluten-free items are available on request. The hotel has no restaurant or bar on site, but a fresh pasta restaurant is around the corner, and dozens of eateries are within a 5-minute walk. The lively bar adjacent to the hotel serves cicchetti (Venetian tapas) and drinks at reasonable prices.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi throughout, a 24-hour front desk, and free luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures. Daily housekeeping, safety deposit boxes, and key card access are included. A lift gives access to all floors. The reception can arrange water taxis, print tickets, and provide local advice. Pets are permitted on request at no additional cost. For business needs, fax and photocopying are available. There is no on-site parking or restaurant, but the central location makes self-catering easy.
