Piazza San Marco is a 10-minute walk away; the Peggy Guggenheim Museum is 600 metres across the Grand Canal. The Accademia and Sant'Angelo vaporetto stops are both about 5 minutes on foot, making the airport (Alilaguna water bus) and train station (vaporetto line 1, 20 minutes) easily accessible without hauling luggage over bridges. A private water taxi from the airport costs €130 and arrives in 30 minutes. The train station is a 25-30 minute walk or 20 minutes by water bus. The area is safe and walkable for solo travellers.
