HOTEL BASSS, Paris

Hôtel BASSS is located in the heart of the artists' quarter, on the main street of Montmartre, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, boutiques, and bakeries. Abbesses Metro (line 12) is just a 260-metre walk, providing direct access to Place de la Concorde and St Germain des Prés. The area is also near Blanche and Pigalle stations. The vibrant neighbourhood is busy during the day but the hotel itself is quiet at night, with effective soundproofing. Walking to major landmarks such as the Moulin Rouge, Place du Tertre, and the Sacré-Cœur is easy and adds to the experience. For those arriving from Charles de Gaulle airport, the most economical route is the RER B train then the metro, though the hotel does not offer an airport shuttle.

The breakfast is a continental buffet with pastries, bread, cereals, cold cuts, dairy, fresh fruit juices, hard-boiled eggs, and coffee/tea. It is served in a breakfast room decorated with contemporary furniture and exposed stone walls. The buffet is generally well-stocked, though during busy periods items may run low. The hotel does not have a restaurant, bar, or room service, but the surrounding streets are full of cafes, bistros, patisseries, and restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisine-from Neapolitan pizza to traditional French dishes. A coffee shop is available in the lobby with free hot drinks and water 24/7.

The hotel does not have a pool, spa, gym, or wellness centre. Leisure activities are mostly experience-based: free walking tours are available, bike tours can be arranged at an additional cost, and temporary art galleries are located nearby. Guests can relax on the shared terrace, which offers outdoor furniture. The lively Montmartre neighbourhood itself serves as the main leisure resource, with its markets, street artists, and iconic cabarets such as Au Lapin Agile and the Moulin Rouge.

The hotel provides a 24-hour front desk, express check-in/out, and a safety deposit box. WiFi is free and available in all areas. Luggage storage is free for early arrivals or late departures, and guests can use the lobby facilities afterwards. A paid shuttle service can be arranged. Daily housekeeping is included; additional cleaning on request. Ironing equipment is available on request. A refrigerator and microwave are available at the reception if needed. The hotel accepts small pets (up to 12 kg) for €12 per day. The property has a lift and one room is accessible for guests with reduced mobility. Payment can be made by American Express, Visa, or MasterCard.
