The hotel is in a safe area with a gas station and 7-Eleven across the street. Freeway access is immediate, but some rooms facing the freeway may pick up road noise.

Standard rooms and suites are available, many recently renovated with laminate flooring, modern furniture, and comfortable beds. All rooms include a private bathroom with hairdryer and free toiletries, as well as a work desk and ironing facilities. Family rooms with bunk beds are offered. Some rooms have carpeting, which may show wear more quickly. Storage is limited to a single shallow drawer, so plan to live out of your suitcase. For the best experience, request a room on the third floor or away from the breakfast area to minimise noise. If you are sensitive to smells, note that a few rooms have a musty odour, so a renovated room is recommended.

The outdoor pool and hot tub are located in the parking area, which may reduce their appeal; the pool is unheated and the hot tub bubbles may not always be operational. Mission Bay and area beaches are a short drive away for alternative recreation. The on-site spa and wellness centre mentioned in some listings is not currently operational based on recent stays.
