Rooms are spacious and recently renovated, offering a choice of double rooms or one-bedroom bungalows. The bungalows feature a separate bedroom and bathroom, a terrace, and often face the quieter bungalow pool. Some double rooms also have a seating area and dining space for extra comfort. The rooms are described as spotless and comfortable, with particularly good water pressure in the showers and very comfortable beds. For a more private, quiet escape, the bungalows are a strong choice.

Chiquita is currently undergoing renovation and operates limited hours: Saturdays and Sundays from 09:00 to 15:00. Breakfast is a simple continental spread with muffins and coffee, while lunch offers fresh, affordable dishes such as salads. The bar area is also open on weekends for cocktails, and the bartender may serve poolside. As the restaurant is not open daily, plan for weekday meals: the surrounding area has several well-regarded cafés and restaurants within a 5-minute walk, and numerous options are a short bike ride away downtown.

Both outdoor pools are open all year and heated, with one pool offering a saltwater option and a more private setting. The pools are open 24 hours, with sun loungers, umbrellas, and towels provided. A second pool area adjoins the bungalows for added convenience. The property also has a tennis court, pickleball/badminton courts, billiards, and free bike rental. A complimentary morning yoga class is held on Saturdays, the garden offers fresh fruit picking (limes, lemons, grapefruit), and there are multiple fire pits for evening relaxation.

Parking is free and reservation-free, with accessible spaces and street parking also available. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out and luggage storage, making late arrivals or early departures easy. Daily housekeeping keeps rooms and grounds clean. The hotel accepts American Express, Visa, Diners Club, JCB, Discover, and MasterCard. A $100 incidental deposit is taken at check-in but no booking deposit is required.
