BLUEGREEN VACATIONS ORLANDO'S SUNSHINE, ASCEND COLLECTION RESORT, Orlando

The resort is situated on International Drive, placing it at the center of Orlando's major attractions. Universal Studios is a 5-10 minute drive, and the property sells tickets for the International Drive Trolley, which picks up right next door and offers service to SeaWorld. Walkable options include a grocery store, several restaurants (Dunkin', Pepe's Cantina, Quiznos, and more) all within a 5-10 minute walk. For park access without a car, ride-sharing is a practical alternative to the trolley, as the trolley does not stop directly at Universal. The property's central location also makes it easy to reach outlet shopping and other entertainment venues.

The on-site dining options are limited to a poolside snack bar, ideal for light bites and drinks while by the pool. The full kitchen in each suite-equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, cookware, and utensils-allows for convenient meal preparation. A grocery store is within a two-minute walk. For those who prefer eating out, several restaurants are within a short walk, including Dunkin', Pepe's Cantina, and Cheers Sports Bar. There is no full-service restaurant or complimentary breakfast on the property, so planning meals ahead, especially for larger groups, is advisable.

Wellness and leisure facilities are centered around the outdoor recreation areas. The property features a heated outdoor pool open year-round, a separate kids' pool, and a relaxing hot tub. Guests can stay active on the tennis or shuffleboard courts, and table tennis and board games are also available. The on-site sauna offers a quiet spot for relaxation. The pool area is complemented by sun umbrellas and an outdoor fireplace, while BBQ facilities are available for cookouts. These areas are well-maintained and provide solid options for downtime between park visits. The hot tub has been occasionally noted as under maintenance, so checking availability during your stay is wise.

The resort offers free Wi-Fi throughout the property and free private parking for one vehicle per villa (no reservation needed; boats, RVs and trailers are not allowed). An electric vehicle charging station is also available. The 24-hour front desk can assist with check-in, luggage storage, and concierge services. The property has elevators. Accessible rooms are available upon request. Cribs and pack 'n' plays are provided on request (not guaranteed but typically fulfilled). While the property does not offer a shuttle to theme parks, it does sell International Drive Trolley passes. Key card access, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers provide security. Housekeeping is provided before check-in; additional cleaning during a stay is available for a fee.
