Hotel Details

Location

Located between Louis Armstrong International Airport and downtown New Orleans, adjacent to Ochsner Medical Center.

The hotel is about 15-20 minutes from the airport and a 10-minute drive from the Central Business District and Morial Convention Center. Bourbon Street and the French Quarter are about 10 km away - a $25-$35 rideshare. Bus number 3 stops directly in front and runs to downtown, making car-free city access possible. Free covered parking in the on-site garage is a major convenience for drivers. The immediate area is safe and quiet, with a pharmacy, coffee shop, and hospital cafeteria all within the building.

Accommodation

Rooms include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, microwave, fridge, seating area, and ironing facilities.

Guest rooms are spacious and clean, featuring a private bathroom and carpeted floors. Some rooms overlook the atrium or the pool. Bedding is provided with flat sheets and a thin blanket - no duvets. Mattress firmness varies; those preferring a softer feel may want to request a room with a comfortable bed. Rooms with a balcony are not available. A limited number of extended-stay rooms include a counter stove. All rooms have air conditioning and heating, though some units have been reported to take time to adjust.

Wellness and Leisure

Seasonal outdoor pool, hot tub (open year-round), and free fitness centre.

The outdoor swimming pool and hot tub are exclusive to hotel guests and accessible from 07:00 to 22:00 daily. The pool is open all year. The fitness centre is well-equipped with stationary machines and free weights - noted for being better than typical hotel gyms. No spa or wellness centre is on site. The indoor atrium with a garden and fountain provides a calming, relaxing space.

Facilities and Services

Free Wi-Fi, free covered parking, 24-hour reception, business centre, and guest laundry.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi throughout, a free business centre with fax/photocopying, and meeting/banquet facilities (additional charge). The 24-hour front desk staff are bilingual and can assist with concierge services. A guest coin laundry is available ($1.50 wash, $1.50 dry); detergent is sold at reception for $1. Daily housekeeping is included. Additional services include dry cleaning and laundry (both for a fee). Safety features include 24-hour security, key card access, and safety deposit boxes. 01
Book directly if you are a patient or visitor at Ochsner Medical Center - the hotel is physically connected to the hospital, which makes it ideal for hospital stays.
02
Use the free covered parking garage: drive directly to the South Parking Garage (2nd floor or above) instead of following GPS to the hotel entrance.
03
Take bus number 3 from the stop right in front of the hotel to reach downtown and the French Quarter - a car is not essential for exploring the city.
04
Bring earplugs or request a quiet room away from high-traffic areas if you are a light sleeper, as soundproofing between rooms can be limited.
