The hotel fronts the Arno on Via Tornabuoni, Florence's premier shopping street, and is steps from Ponte Vecchio (200 m), Piazza della Signoria, and the Uffizi Gallery (10 min). Santa Maria Novella train station is a 10-minute walk (500 m). All the city's main attractions - Duomo, Accademia, Palazzo Pitti, markets - are reachable on foot within 15 minutes. The immediate streets are lined with restaurants, wine bars, gelaterias, and cafés. Taxis are easily called from the hotel and cost about 10 EUR to the airport. The hotel sits within the ZTL restricted traffic zone, so driving requires registration and valet parking.

The hotel has two distinct room types: older classic rooms in the historic section with high frescoed ceilings and antique furniture, and newly renovated rooms on the 4th floor with contemporary decor, modern bathrooms (rain shower, jet-stream tub), parquet floors, and large windows overlooking the river. Renovated rooms are spacious, clean, and feature king-size beds, flat-screen smart TVs, air conditioning, in-room safe, mini-bar, and complimentary tea/coffee. Some suites exceed 50 m2 with double-height ceilings. Older rooms on lower floors are smaller, more basic, and may have no view. Second-floor rooms have high ceilings but no river view. A few rooms have balconies - availability should be confirmed at booking. Some rooms face the street and may experience street noise until late evening; rear-facing rooms are quieter. The hotel is non-smoking.

Breakfast is not served on the hotel premises but at Foody Farm or Caffè Alfieri, both located about 30 metres along the river. The buffet is consistently described as excellent, with a broad selection of fresh pastries, breads, cold cuts, cheeses, yogurts, cereals, fresh fruit, eggs, and hot items. Gluten-free and lactose-free options are available. The breakfast is included in the room rate and is often highlighted as a highlight of the stay. The café also operates as a restaurant and bar during the day and evening, offering Florentine dishes. For other meals, the surrounding streets provide dozens of dining options within a 5-minute walk, including traditional trattorias, wine bars, and gelaterias.

On-site leisure facilities include a fitness centre with basic equipment and a rooftop terrace offering panoramic views of the Arno River and the Florence skyline. There is no pool or spa. The location itself serves as the main leisure asset, with all of Florence's museums, galleries, churches, and shopping within easy walking distance.
