CARAPELLI APARTMENTS, Florence

Set on a quiet street just off the main tourist circuit, the apartments put all of Florence's major sights within easy walking distance - Accademia Gallery, Ponte Vecchio, and Piazzale Michelangelo are all reachable on foot. Florence Airport is 11 km away, and the nearest parking garage (Palazzo Vecchio, Vinegia Street) is about 2 minutes' walk. The area is pedestrian-friendly, with numerous restaurants, cafés, and a supermarket within a short stroll. Public transport is limited in the historic centre, but the train station is a 15-minute walk.

Each apartment is self-contained with a private entrance, air conditioning, and a kitchen with stovetop, fridge, dishwasher, and kitchenware. Units vary from one-bedroom to two-bedroom configurations, some with a loft or terrace. Beds are generally double or twin; sofa beds are available but are less comfortable for adults. The building has a lift, and apartments are non-smoking. Some ground-floor units have reported humidity or musty odours, while upper-floor apartments tend to be quieter and better ventilated. The best outdoor space is in apartments 1, 2, and 3 (terrace or balcony).

The apartments are equipped with a full kitchen - stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and utensils - allowing guests to cook their own meals. The property does not have its own restaurant or breakfast service. Several restaurants are within a 5-minute walk: Trattoria Anita, La Fettunta, and Il Bufalo Trippone are all 0.5 km away. A supermarket (open until 23:00) is about 10 minutes' walk, making self-catering straightforward.

Some apartments feature a private hot tub or jacuzzi in a basement grotto - not a swimming pool. This facility is available only in specific units (e.g., apartment 1 with jacuzzi, apartment with terrace). The property has no spa, sauna, gym, or swimming pool. An ice-skating rink is located nearby for alternative entertainment.

Wi-Fi is free and available in all areas. Luggage storage is free and located in the lobby (available before check-in from 14:00). A lift serves all floors. Shared laundry facilities (washing machine and dryer) are on the ground floor, free of charge. Daily housekeeping is available for an additional fee. The property offers private check-in/out and a safety deposit box. Pets are not allowed, and the entire building is non-smoking.
