CARLTON SUITES, Vienna

Carlton Suites sits in the ancient city centre, a few minutes' walk from St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Ringstraße. Major landmarks such as the State Opera, Hofburg Imperial Palace, and Burg Theatre are reachable in 5 to 15 minutes on foot. The Graben, Kohlmarkt, and Kärntner Straße shopping streets are within 400 to 700 metres. Stephansplatz Underground Station is a 4-minute walk, and tram lines 1 and 2 are a 3-minute walk, making it easy to explore Vienna without a car. The area is safe and filled with restaurants, cafés, and bakeries, with multiple dining options directly across the street. For airport access, Wien Mitte station (CAT train) is also within walking distance. The immediate surroundings are peaceful despite the central location, supporting a quiet rest.

Carlton Suites offers a range of private apartments, from studios to 2-bedroom units, each with a separate living area, private bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen with stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, and kitchenware. Rooms feature parquet floors, a seating area, flat-screen TV, washing machine, and tea/coffee maker. All apartments face the inner courtyard, which helps keep them quiet. Some units have a terrace or a separate dining area. Apartment sizes are generous by central Vienna standards. However, the exact apartment assigned may differ from the photos shown, and some units have furnishings that are worn or basic. A few apartments lack certain cleaning equipment (e.g., broom, mop) and have thin curtains, though blackout curtains in some bedrooms aid sleep. Air conditioning is available in some units but may not cool sufficiently in extreme heat. Bedding quality varies: some find mattresses comfortable, while others note they can be too soft or dented. The lift provides access to upper floors.

Carlton Suites does not have an on-site restaurant, bar, or café. Each apartment includes a fully equipped kitchen with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, and essential cookware, allowing guests to prepare their own meals. The immediate neighbourhood offers many dining options within a short walk, including Plachutta Wollzeile (0.5 km), Loca (0.5 km), Ribs of Vienna (0.5 km), Silvio Nickol Gourmet Restaurant (0.5 km), and several others. Directly across the street there are restaurants and a jazz club. For breakfast, guests can choose a room rate that includes it, or purchase supplies from nearby bakeries and supermarkets. The well-fitted kitchen supports basic cooking for longer stays.

Carlton Suites does not have a spa, swimming pool, or wellness facility. The property does not offer leisure amenities such as a gym, sauna, or games room. However, its central location within walking distance of St. Stephen's Cathedral, the State Opera, Hofburg Palace, and the shopping streets of Graben and Kohlmarkt means guests have immediate access to Vienna's cultural and leisure offerings. The nearby Porgy & Bess jazz theatre is right next door and offers evening performances. Guests can also use the courtyard for outdoor dining, though there is no dedicated on-site leisure infrastructure.
