The hotel sits on a quiet side street yet is exceptionally well connected. Bus line 100 stops directly outside, reaching Brandenburg Gate in 16 minutes. The U-Bahn is a 5-10 minute walk, and Zoologischer Garten station (S-Bahn, U-Bahn, regional trains) is under 1 km away, providing direct links to Berlin Brandenburg Airport (23 km) and Schönefeld Airport (18 km). Berlin Zoo, restaurants, a supermarket, and several cafés are within a few minutes' walk. The area feels safe and convenient for sightseeing, business, or attending events at the Berliner Philharmonie (2 km) or Holocaust Memorial (3 km).

Rooms are available as doubles, triples, and family configurations (up to three beds). Each includes a private bathroom with a bath, hairdryer, and toiletries. Standard double rooms are notably small, often leaving little floor space for luggage, and many lack a full wardrobe. Beds are generally comfortable, though some double beds are narrow (140 cm). Rooms on upper floors are accessible by lift. Road-facing rooms can experience traffic noise; quieter rooms face the courtyard. There are no in-room tea/coffee facilities, fridge, or kettle. Décor is functional but dated, with carpeted floors showing some wear. Air conditioning is present but has been reported as inconsistent in cooling performance.

Breakfast is served from early morning until 11:00 in a pleasant dining room. The buffet includes breads, pastries, eggs, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereals, and a coffee machine. It is generally well-regarded for variety and value, though the coffee machine can cause queues during peak times. There is no restaurant on-site, but a bar in the lobby offers drinks, wine, champagne, and fresh fruit (for a fee). Numerous restaurants and cafés are within a 5-minute walk, including Thai, Vietnamese, Italian, and pizza options, as well as fast food for late arrivals.
