The immediate neighbourhood is packed with independent shops, cafés, and restaurants - with Indian, sushi, and Austrian dining all within 0.5km. Public transport is excellent: the U3 metro (Volkstheater) and bus lines 48A and 13A connect directly to the airport, main train station, and the Ringstrasse. On-site parking is not available; a paid garage (€20/day) is a 5-minute walk away, and on-street parking is free only on Sundays. The area is safe and lively even after dark.

The accommodation consists of 3- to 6-bed dormitories (male, female, or single-sex only). Each bed is a bunk bed; there are no double-bed rooms. Most rooms include a sink and shower inside, but toilets are shared on the floor. Lockers are provided for each occupant but require a padlock (available for purchase at €5.50-€8). Linen is included and must be fitted by the guest upon arrival. Towels are not supplied (purchase €7). Pillows are notably thin and flat. Electrical outlets are limited: typically one standard socket per room plus one USB-A port per bed (not compatible with USB-C). Some rooms are in a secondary building without a lift; the main building has a lift. Rooms facing the courtyard may experience noise from the breakfast area and socialising until late. The hostel has no air conditioning; fans can be rented for €2 per night. Hearing is by central heating. Dorm doors are secured by key card. Bed-bug incidents have occurred; inspect bedding on arrival.

Breakfast is a self-serve buffet offering bread, cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt, cereals, boiled eggs, fruit salad, and a variety of spreads and drinks, including coffee, tea, and diluted juice. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available. There are no hot dishes. The dining area can become crowded during peak hours. The on-site restaurant (Restaurant #1) serves Austrian and international cuisine for lunch and dinner (additional cost, about €10-€12 per meal). Vending machines in the common area provide snacks and drinks around the clock. For guests who prefer variety, a wide range of restaurants - including Indian, sushi, and traditional Schnitzel - are within a 2-minute walk.

Leisure facilities include a billiards table (additional charge) and a selection of board games. The shared lounge features a TV area and vending machines. A pleasant courtyard with outdoor furniture provides space to socialise in warmer months. The surrounding neighbourhood offers cultural attractions, parks, and shopping streets. There is no on-site spa, pool, or fitness centre.
