CASA DE HUESPEDES GALAICA, Madrid

The property sits in the high-end, safe Salamanca district, just steps from Goya, Lista and Manuel Becerra metro stations, which connect you across Madrid in minutes. El Retiro Park, one of the city's largest green spaces, is 1 km away. The area is packed with restaurants, bars and cafés - particularly around Goya and Lista. For events, the Barclaycard Arena is a 5-minute walk. The metro ride to the airport takes approximately 45 minutes. The city centre and Gran Via are about a 25-minute walk via pleasant streets. An excellent location for walking in central Madrid with easy access to public transport.

Rooms feature air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV and parquet floors. Bathrooms include a shower. Room sizes vary - some are more spacious and come with windows to a quiet street, while smaller, interior-facing rooms are also available. The property has an elevator to the second floor. Bedding is sometimes reported as needing renewal (small duvet, older sheets, worn towels). Light sleepers should request a quiet room, as some partitions are thin. Cleaning is done regularly; the room is serviced at least once during a stay. Useful for solo travellers or couples on a short city trip who prioritise location and price over luxury.

There is no spa, wellness centre or swimming pool at Casa de Huéspedes Galaica. Guests looking for leisure activities are a short walk from the cafés, restaurants and entertainment options in the Salamanca district, and within easy reach of landmarks such as El Retiro Park (1 km) and the Barclaycard Arena.

Wi-Fi access is available free of charge in the public areas. The front desk is not staffed 24 hours but the property provides clear check-in instructions by email, SMS and WhatsApp, with door codes for access - a convenient system for late arrivals. Luggage storage is available so guests can explore after check-out. An invoice can be provided upon request. Accepted payment methods include Visa and MasterCard. The property is adults only and non-smoking throughout. There is a lift serving upper floors. No parking is available.
