CATALINA MOTEL, Corpus Christi

The motel is located on the scenic Ocean Drive, offering a quiet and private setting close to the water. McGee Beach is 6 km away, North Beach is 11 km away, and Padre Island is 24 km away. Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is 2 km away, and Corpus Christi International Airport is a 20-minute drive. Several restaurants, including Eirinis Gyros and More, Schlotzsky's, The Ultimate Cheesecake Bakery, and Cancun Mexican Restaurant, are all within 1 km. An HEB supermarket is within walking distance, making it easy to stock up on snacks and supplies. The location is particularly convenient for those attending appointments at nearby medical centers.

Each room comes with cable TV, a work desk, a microwave, and a refrigerator for basic self-catering. Air conditioning and heating are provided, though the AC units are older and may take time to cool the room after arrival. The motel is an older property with visible wear, and cleanliness can vary - some rooms are noted as clean and well-kept, while others have had issues like mold, pests, or odors. Walls are thin, so noise from neighboring rooms and outside can be a factor. Toiletries such as soap are not automatically stocked and must be requested at the front desk. The motel offers budget-friendly rooms with a single bed; a newly renovated option is also available.
