CHALE BARAJAS ESCALA, Madrid

The guest house is situated in a calm residential neighbourhood, ideal for pre-flight stays or events at the Metropolitano stadium. A bus stop is a few minutes' walk away, connecting directly to the airport and the city centre. Travel to Madrid's historic core takes roughly 40 minutes by public transport. Several small shops, cafés and a supermarket are within walking distance, while a taxi from the airport costs around €30. The area is safe and quiet, with easy street parking for those arriving by car.

Accommodation is offered in double rooms with a shared bathroom, and family or triple rooms with private bathrooms. The family room includes a shower and four beds, while the triple room offers a shower, bidet, heating, flat-screen TV and a quiet street view. Air conditioning is available in some rooms but controlled centrally; in summer the attic rooms have their own unit. Rooms are generally clean but basic - no chairs, tables or kettles are provided, and towels can be stiff. Noise carries easily through thin walls and floors, so light sleepers may prefer a quieter room away from common areas. The central heating in some rooms has been reported as insufficient during cold weather.

The guest house does not have its own dining facilities, breakfast service or bar. Rooms do not include a fridge or kettle for preparing morning drinks. A variety of restaurants are a short walk away: El 23 Restaurante is 0.5 km, Restaurante Los Cinco Pinos 0.5 km, and several other options within 1 km. A small supermarket and a few cafés are also nearby for basic groceries and breakfast.
