CITYMAX HOTEL AL BARSHA, Dubai

The hotel sits on Road 9 in Al Barsha, within easy reach of shops and dining. Mall of the Emirates is 5 minutes on foot, and from there the metro connects to Dubai Marina and Burj Khalifa. Dubai International Airport is 25 km away, around a 25-minute drive. Numerous restaurants - including P.F. Chang's, Thai Wok and a Mandarine Tree - are within a few hundred metres. The immediate area is busy with taxis available outside the hotel, making car-free travel straightforward. Free private parking is available on site.

Standard double and twin rooms are available, with the twin room offering two single beds. Each room includes soundproof walls, air conditioning, a private bathroom with bath and shower, a work desk, flat-screen TV with cable channels, an electric kettle, a wardrobe, a safe, and a tiled floor. Family rooms feature a queen-size bed with one restroom. Some rooms have a rooftop pool view. The property has two buildings with the same name - checking which building the booking refers to before arrival avoids confusion. Twin rooms are limited in number and should be confirmed with the hotel in advance.

The hotel's own restaurant, City Cafe, offers international cuisine and a bar. Breakfast is a buffet with continental options such as boiled eggs, omelettes, pancakes, cheese, muesli, toast, fruit, yoghurt, and hot drinks. Breakfast runs on a buffet, though choices can be repetitive over a longer stay. A bar is available on site. The surrounding area is dense with restaurants within a short walk, including Thai Wok, Caspian Special Kabab, P.F. Chang's and Mandarin Tree Restaurant.

The rooftop pool is a small, shallow pool (0.8m at the shallow end and 1.2m at the deep end) surrounded by a high fence, so it offers no city views. It is generally quiet and not crowded. The fitness centre is free and equipped with two treadmills, an exercise bike, a rowing machine, and dumbbells - no weight machines. A free daily shuttle to the beach is available but seats are limited to 6 and booking at reception is required at least one day in advance.
