COMFORT INN BILTMORE WEST, Asheville

The hotel sits conveniently off I-40, making it an easy stop for travellers. It is 10 km from the Biltmore Estate and 16 km from the Asheville Regional Airport. Downtown Asheville is about 8 km away, a quick Uber or Lyft ride. The surrounding area has a Cracker Barrel next door, a driving range, and several fast-food restaurants within walking distance. However, the neighbourhood is not pedestrian-friendly, especially at night, so a car or rideshare is recommended for most errands. The parking lot is well-lit and monitored, adding a sense of security. The Blue Ridge Parkway, Harrah's Cherokee Center, and UNC Asheville are all minutes away by car. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is 64 km from the hotel.

The hotel offers a range of comfortable rooms including double, triple, and twin/double configurations, plus a king suite with a balcony. All rooms feature air conditioning, a tea and coffee maker, a microwave, a refrigerator, a TV with cable channels, ironing facilities, a safe, and a work desk. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Beds are generally comfortable, though some may find the pillows too soft. Noise from hallways and adjacent rooms can be noticeable, especially near the elevator. Cleanliness is generally good, but some rooms have issues like musty smells or carpet stains. If you have allergies, request a room that has never housed pets. Housekeeping is provided every three days, but additional service can be requested at the front desk. Rollaway beds are available for $20 per night upon request.

The hotel has a free fitness centre with basic equipment for a workout. The seasonal outdoor pool typically opens in May and is available through the summer months; it is small but clean and well-maintained. There is no spa or wellness centre on site. The pool area is a pleasant spot to relax, but note that it is not heated and is subject to weather closures.
