DOUBLETREE BY HILTON BILTMORE/ASHEVILLE, Asheville

The hotel sits a 10-minute walk from Biltmore Village's restaurants and boutiques, and about a 5-minute drive to the Biltmore Estate gate. The River Arts District is 4 km away, and Blue Ridge Parkway access is a short drive. A sightseeing trolley and hop-on-hop-off bus stop in front of the hotel, offering car-free access to downtown. Free on-site parking with a traffic light for easy exit makes driving practical, though some find the area busy.

Standard rooms include a work desk, coffee-making facilities, a mini-fridge, and a flat-screen TV with HBO. Suites and premium rooms add a microwave and sofa bed; some premium suites have a jacuzzi. Balcony rooms are available. The property is older, with some rooms showing wear - chipped door frames, peeling bathroom paint, and mismatched furniture are reported. Rooms in the Executive Tower are updated and better maintained. Soundproofing is good, but road-facing rooms may hear traffic. Rooms feel quiet overall, though dated HVAC units can be loud.

The indoor pool is heated and offers pool/beach towels. The roof can be opened in good weather, providing an open-air experience. The fitness centre is open around the clock. Both facilities are generally well-maintained, though the pool may feel cool in winter. An outdoor garden with furniture and a courtyard provides additional leisure space.

Parking is free and located on-site, with a well-lit lot and a traffic light for easy exit. The hotel offers a 24-hour business centre, fax/photocopying, and meeting/banquet facilities. A paid shuttle service is available, but airport shuttle is not. Laundry and dry cleaning are offered. Express check-in/out and a concierge service are provided. The hotel is wheelchair accessible with a lift, though some accessible rooms have cramped bathrooms and slippery tubs. Pets are allowed with charges.
