COMFORT INN & SUITES SPRINGFIELD I-55, Springfield

The property sits just off the interstate, making it straightforward to reach by car. It is 4 km from the University of Illinois at Springfield, 5 km from Knight's Action Park and the Old State Capitol, and 6 km from the Bos Center and Korean War Veteran National Museum & Library. Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport is 17 km away. There is no public bus service directly to the hotel, so a car is recommended. Free on-site parking is available without a reservation. Several quick-service restaurants are within a 1 km drive, including Starbucks, Taco Bell, Jimmy John's, and KFC.

Accommodation choices include double rooms with one to three beds, as well as suites with separate living areas and kitchenettes. King Suites add a private balcony, while some rooms feature a sofa bed for extra sleeping space. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a tea and coffee maker, a refrigerator, and a private bathroom with hairdryer and free toiletries. Soundproofing helps reduce noise from adjacent rooms, though highway-facing rooms may hear traffic. The property is older but well-maintained; some rooms have updated furniture while others show wear. The mattress firmness is variable, with some finding the beds comfortable and others reporting the pullout sofa bed as thin and uncomfortable. For longer stays or families, a suite with a separate bedroom offers more space and separation.

Breakfast is included with your stay and is available from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM on weekdays and 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM on weekends. The buffet typically includes scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels, pastries, and juices. Coffee and other hot beverages are also provided. On Monday through Thursday evenings, the hotel hosts a complimentary managers' reception from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with hot appetizers (such as tacos, sliders, or BLT sandwiches) along with beer and wine. There is no on-site restaurant; several fast-food and casual dining options are within a short drive. A snack bar and vending machines are available for quick purchases.
