STATE HOUSE INN, TRADEMARK COLLECTION BY WYNDHAM, Springfield

The hotel sits one block from the Illinois State Capitol and within easy walking distance of the Old State Capitol (600 m), the Korean War Veteran National Museum (6 min walk), and the Bos Center (12 min walk). Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport is 6 km away. The Amtrak station is just a few blocks away, making car-free access straightforward. Several restaurants, including Cafe Moxo and Tacology 101, are within a 5-minute walk. Free on-site parking is available.

Room types include double rooms, quadruple rooms (2 beds), and suites with a door separating the living and sleeping areas. Suites come with a refrigerator and microwave; standard rooms can request these based on availability. Bedding is comfortable with standard pillows, and rooms feature a clothing rack rather than a wardrobe. Some rooms face train tracks or construction; noise from trains and hallway activity can be audible. Requesting a room away from the elevator and street side is recommended for quieter stays. Large windows provide natural light, and blackout curtains are available in some rooms. Handicapped accessible rooms are also available.

The fitness centre is equipped with basic exercise machines and free weights. Water is available, but wipes and cups may not always be stocked. There is no pool or spa on the property. The shared lounge/TV area provides a space to relax.

Parking is free and does not require a reservation; the lot can accommodate cars and RVs (west lot). Luggage storage allows early arrivals or late departures to explore hands-free. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out and can assist with requests. A business centre and meeting/banquet facilities are available for an additional charge. Dry cleaning and fax/photocopying services are also offered. The property has a lift, but occasional maintenance may cause disruption; staff can assist with alternative access. Security features include CCTV, security alarms, and key card access. Housekeeping is performed daily for new reservations; for extended stays, service is available on request.
