DEL RIO HOTEL O NEAR MESA DOWNTOWN, Mesa

The hotel is 14 km from the airport and near several local dining options (Taiwan Food Express, Wholly Grill, Thai Spices, Heng's Kitchen, Happy Bao's, Spice Spirit Chinese Cuisine and Bar, Unphogettable, Kingo Bowl) all within approximately 2 km. While the neighborhood is described as not ideal, the property has 24-hour security and free parking. The Phoenix Convention Center is 23 km away and the Phoenix Zoo is 11 km away. The area can be navigated by car; public transit is limited but a rail line is nearby.

Rooms come in double, quadruple, and apartment configurations (some with a kitchenette). All include air conditioning, a private shower, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. The cleanliness and condition of rooms are highly inconsistent. While some rooms have been reported as clean and comfortable, many others have serious issues: stained bedding, dirty bathrooms, hair in the tub, damaged furniture, broken fixtures (shower head, microwave, freezer door), pest problems (cockroaches), and general disrepair. The property features a designated smoking area, and non-smoking rooms are available, but some non-smoking rooms have reportedly smelled of cigarette smoke. Room quality varies significantly, so inspecting the room before paying in full is strongly advised.

The property does not offer breakfast, a restaurant, or a bar. Eight dining options are within roughly 2 km, including Chinese, Thai, and casual American choices. Guests planning meals should expect to eat out or prepare food in rooms that have a microwave and refrigerator; some rooms also have a kitchenette. No room service, mini-bar, or food delivery from the property is available.

The outdoor swimming pool is available all year and is the primary recreational feature. The pool area includes a sign advising guests to be completely dry before re-entering rooms. No spa, gym, sauna, or other fitness amenities are on site. The pool is open from 09:00 to 21:00 daily; after-hours access is not permitted.
