The hotel is set on a busy road but in a quiet neighbourhood, a 20-minute walk from the Duomo and 30 minutes from Santa Maria Novella station. The tram line T2 (stop a 5-minute walk) connects directly to both the station and Florence Airport. Bus C1 stops right outside, taking you to Piazza Duomo in about 10 minutes. A large supermarket, several restaurants, and a minimarket are within 2-5 minutes on foot. The hotel is not in the ZTL zone, so driving to the area is straightforward.

Room types range from single to triple, including a double with crib and a room equipped for disabled guests (Room 59 is spacious with a large bathroom and garden view). All rooms feature a private bathroom with hairdryer and toiletries, safe, kettle, desk, wardrobe, flat-screen TV, and telephone. Some double rooms and the twin room offer a spa bath or hot tub. Rooms are located on three floors with lift access. The décor is traditional and can feel dated; road-facing rooms may experience traffic noise. Request a rear-facing or upper-floor room for a quieter stay. Carpets are present, and cleanliness has been inconsistent in some cases. Mosquitoes can be an issue - fumigators are available from reception.

The breakfast buffet includes bread, pastries, cereals, yogurt, tinned fruit, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, and hot drinks made to order. Quality and variety are considered basic by many, and the basement setting lacks natural light. There is no restaurant for lunch or dinner, but the bar and snack bar offer light bites and drinks throughout the day. Packed lunches can be arranged, and room service is available.
