The District Hotel sits on a tree-lined street near Logan Circle, less than 1 km from the White House and a 20-30 minute walk from most major monuments, museums, and the convention center. McPherson Square Metro station (blue, orange, silver lines) is a 13-15 minute walk; Farragut North (red line) is similar. Bus routes 52 and 54 stop close by and run directly to the National Mall. The neighborhood is safe and quiet after dark, with dozens of restaurants, cafes, and a Whole Foods supermarket within a few blocks. A 15-minute walk to the Philippine Embassy and a 22-minute walk to the International Monetary Fund.

Accommodation choices include double rooms (one double bed, compact), queen rooms (larger, one queen bed), and king rooms (one king bed). Twin rooms are not available. Each room has a private bathroom with hairdryer, TV, iron and board, and individual heating/air conditioning. Many rooms have the AC unit positioned directly above the bed, which can be noisy. Some rooms lack a closet or refrigerator. Basement rooms may have limited natural light and no view. The hotel's 1913 construction means soundproofing is minimal - noise from corridors, neighboring rooms, and outside is commonly heard. Daily housekeeping is provided. The lift is small and slow; some floors require stairs. Luggage storage is free before check-in and after check-out until 6 PM.

The District Hotel does not serve breakfast or operate a restaurant. Complimentary fresh coffee and tea are provided in the lobby each morning and throughout the day, along with a microwave for guest use. The surrounding area is rich with dining options: JINYA Ramen Bar, ChurchKey, Slipstream, Hando-medo, and Teak Wood are all within a 5-minute walk. Whole Foods supermarket is two blocks away for groceries and prepared meals. Starbuck's is the closest inexpensive coffee spot. Guests wanting a full breakfast will need to plan a meal at a nearby café or restaurant.

Wi-Fi is provided free of charge in public areas but is frequently reported as unreliable or inaccessible in guest rooms. The front desk is staffed 24 hours. Guest laundry (washer/dryer) is not available on site, and there is no fitness center, pool, or spa.
