Broadway-City Hall SkyTrain station is four blocks away, providing direct service to Vancouver International Airport (26 minutes via Canada Line) and the city centre (about 10 minutes). Several bus routes also run nearby. The location is well suited to those visiting Vancouver General Hospital (10-15 minutes walk) or BC Children's Hospital (10-minute drive). A wide variety of restaurants - including Vij's, Indian Roti Kitchen, and Peaceful Restaurant - are within a 0.3-0.5 km radius, and shops and cafes are within an easy walk. The residential character makes the area feel safe and pleasant for evening strolls. Granville Island is 3 km away. The building has 10 steps at the entrance and no lift.

Each room includes a flat-screen cable TV, free Wi-Fi, carpeted flooring, heating, a closet, a minibar, ironing facilities, and tea/coffee making. Some rooms have air conditioning, but the units can be noisy. Rooms are available with either private en suite bathrooms (some with walk-in shower) or shared facilities. The family suite is spacious and located on the ground floor with a kitchenette (microwave, kettle, coffee maker, minibar), a private entrance, a seating area with a sofa bed, and a dining table; it sleeps a maximum of 4 guests. The penthouse has two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a roof terrace with green views. Several rooms feel dated, with some reports of worn carpet, stained decor, and patchy paint. Some basement rooms have limited natural light and small windows. Road-facing rooms can be affected by noise. The accommodation is practical for short stays, particularly if proximity to medical facilities or public transport is the primary need.

Breakfast is included in the rate and served each morning from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The offering consists of a choice of hot items (eggs, pancakes, French toast) cooked to order, plus a continental spread: fresh croissants, fruit, yogurt, cereals, breads, pastries, instant coffee, and tea. There is no full sit-down breakfast with a shared table; the atmosphere is more functional. The breakfast room can become busy at peak times, leading to queues. During hot weather, breakfast is also served on the back patio. A tip jar is present at the breakfast station. There is no restaurant, bar, or room service beyond the breakfast period. Many restaurants are within a short walk for other meals. Some rooms have a kitchenette or minibar, allowing basic self-catering. Instant coffee is provided in rooms and at breakfast; there is no brewed decaf available.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Off-street parking is free but limited to six spaces (first-come, first-served; no reservations). Ironing facilities and an ironing board are available.
