The hotel sits on a cobbled street in Temple Bar, surrounded by pubs, restaurants, and street performers. Dublin Castle and Trinity College are a 3-minute walk, while Henry Street and Grafton Street - the city's main shopping arteries - are about 10 minutes on foot. The airport is 14km away (25-30 minutes by taxi). Aviva Stadium is a 15-minute taxi ride; taxis can be booked at reception. Public transport is excellent - bus stops on Dame Street and the Luas tram line are within a few minutes' walk. For drivers, the nearest car park is on Fleet Street (5-minute walk). The location is ideal for exploring the city centre on foot, but night-time noise from the surrounding bars and street activity is constant; earplugs are provided in every room.

Rooms are small - single rooms in particular are very compact with limited luggage space. Each room includes a TV, ironing facilities, tea/coffee maker, and free toiletries. Bed size is standard (6ft3in / 190cm), which may be short for taller visitors. The private bathroom has either a bathtub with shower or a shower stall; shower cubicles are narrow and the shower-curtain design can make the floor wet. There is no air conditioning - each room has a fan. Windows are single-glazed and often face the street, so noise from bars, traffic, and revellers is significant; earplugs are supplied. Rooms 102 and 101 (corner) have high ceilings and large windows overlooking Dame Street. Daily housekeeping is included, and the rooms are kept clean despite older furnishings. The hotel has a lift, but some floors require climbing a few steps after exiting the elevator.

The restaurant and bar are one space - Trinity Bar, a four-floor gastro pub. It serves breakfast (Full English/Irish) from 08:00; a separate charge applies. Lunch and dinner menus feature Irish, international, and European dishes. The bar has 20 TV screens for live sports and regular live music in the evenings. Bar food is available all day, and wine/champagne can be ordered. The bar stays open until midnight. The attached restaurant is convenient for a hearty meal without leaving the hotel, but the area also has dozens of other dining options within a short walk (e.g., KC Peaches, Queen of Tarts, F.X. Buckley).

The property does not have a spa, swimming pool, or gym. Instead, leisure activities are built into the Temple Bar experience. Free evening entertainment (live music and live sport broadcasts) happens in the Trinity Bar. The hotel also offers free walking tours and bike tours (additional charge), as well as pub crawls (charge) and bicycle rental. Cycling is possible off-site. For those who want to unwind in the building, the live music nights (free) run until midnight. The lack of dedicated wellness facilities means this hotel is best suited to travellers who prioritise central location and night-life over quiet relaxation or exercise amenities.
