HOTEL ESPANA - GRUPPO BLAM HOTELS, Rome

The hotel is on a quiet, largely traffic-free street, yet central enough to reach the Colosseum in a 20-minute walk and Trevi Fountain in 4 metro stops. Manzoni Metro (Line A) is a 5-minute walk, providing direct access to Vatican City and other landmarks. Termini Station is a 15-minute walk or a short bus/metro ride, simplifying airport and high-speed train connections. The immediate area offers several restaurants, pizzerias, and a supermarket. The neighbourhood feels safe and well-connected, though some side streets can be darker at night, which travellers should factor in for late returns.

All rooms feature air conditioning, soundproof walls, a safe, minibar, wardrobe, tiled floor, and a private bathroom with shower, bidet, and hairdryer. Room types include double, triple, and quadruple configurations - quadruple rooms have garden access on the ground floor, and some rooms offer a terrace or balcony. Triple and quadruple rooms have all beds in the same space (no separate partitions). Room sizes vary: some are compact, especially single and standard double rooms, while others are more spacious. The property is currently undergoing renovation; recent photos reflect the updated decor. Noise can be an issue due to thin internal walls and audible hall sounds - rooms near the entrance or on lower floors are more affected. Daily housekeeping and towel changes are provided.

The free breakfast includes fresh pastries (cornetti), bread, jams, butter, packaged juice, and hot drinks from a self-service machine. It is served in a basement-level room of a sister building (same street). Breakfast runs from 07:00 to 10:00, but pastries may run out later in the window, so arriving early is recommended. There is no full restaurant or bar on-site; however, the area has many nearby cafés and pizzerias within a short walk, offering convenient alternatives for lunch and dinner.

The hotel does not have a spa, swimming pool, or fitness centre. For leisure, the property offers a small garden and a terrace (accessible from some rooms), which provides a quiet outdoor space. Walking tours are available for an additional charge, allowing guests to explore Rome with a guide. The quiet residential street and nearby parks also offer a pleasant environment for a stroll after a day of sightseeing.
