FAIRFIELD INN AND SUITES BY MARRIOTT ORLANDO NEAR UNIVERSAL ORLANDO, Orlando

The hotel is situated directly across from the Universal Orlando resort entrance, approximately 2 km from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and 2 km from Universal Islands of Adventure. A free scheduled shuttle runs to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Epic Universe (four morning departures and three return trips in the late afternoon/evening). The surrounding area offers over a dozen dining options within a 0.5 km radius, including fast food, casual chains, and a Starbucks. A Walgreens and 7-Eleven are adjacent for essentials. SeaWorld Orlando is about a 10-minute drive, and Disney World is roughly 20 minutes away by car. The walk to the Universal park entrances takes about 25-30 minutes, though the shuttle is preferred during hot weather. The location makes this hotel a practical base for Universal-oriented trips, but car access is recommended for Disney or other attractions.

Rooms are carpeted and include a desk, flat-screen TV, coffee maker, and ironing facilities. Beds are available in configurations of one, two, or three beds (king or queen). Suites feature a separate sitting area and a microwave. The property shows signs of age: carpets and furniture are worn, and many rooms have a persistent musty or mildew smell, particularly from the air conditioning units. Cleanliness standards vary-some report daily housekeeping, while others note infrequent service and issues like stained linens or dust. Soundproofing is limited; rooms facing Vineland Road can experience traffic noise, and internal noise from hallways may occur. Windows do not open, so the AC must run continuously to manage humidity. The property has no balcony rooms. The overall atmosphere is functional rather than modern, suitable for short park-focused stays where the room is primarily used for sleeping.

Breakfast is included for all guests and runs Monday-Friday 6:30-9:30 and Saturday-Sunday 7:00-10:00. The hot buffet typically includes scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, cheese omelets, croissant sandwiches on select days, yogurt, cereal, and self-service waffles. Gluten-free options like fresh pastries are provided. Coffee and tea are available 24 hours in the lobby. There is no full-service restaurant or bar on the property; however, a snack bar offers packaged items. The breakfast area can become crowded during peak hours. For other meals, numerous restaurants are within a short walk: Carrabba's, Soupa Saiyan, Golden Corral, and fast-food chains are all within 0.5 km. The complimentary breakfast is described as satisfying for a quick start to the day, though some find the hot items plain. No evening dining is offered on site.

The pool is located on the property and offers a clean, basic swimming experience. It is not heated and receives limited direct sunlight, so the water can be cool even in warm weather. There is no hot tub or spa. The fitness centre is in a separate building adjacent to the pool and is accessible during pool hours (until 22:00). It contains cardio and weight equipment. Free bicycle rental allows guests to explore the surrounding area. The sun terrace provides outdoor furniture. The pool area is generally quiet and suitable for a cool dip after a park day, but it is small and not a major leisure destination. No organized activities or entertainment are offered.
