The park offers clean, quieter beaches compared to other public areas. Destin Commons and Silver Sands Outlet are about a 10-minute drive; Walmart is next door. Several restaurants - China One, Miller's Ale House, Hooters, and Wendy's - are within 0.5 km. A walkway connects the hotel to the Fudpucker's complex. The area is not very walkable beyond the immediate strip, and returning to the lot often requires a U-turn on the highway. No airport shuttle is available.

The hotel offers standard double-queen rooms and king suites with a separate living area and pull-out couch. Standard queen rooms have a shower/tub combo and no balcony. A limited number of balcony rooms exist and must be booked directly; these provide a partial Gulf view over Henderson State Park and Highway 98 - not a full water view. Road-facing rooms on lower floors can pick up highway noise. Suites and select rooms are more spacious. An iron and ironing board are provided in every room. The property is smoke-free throughout. Room maintenance is generally good, though some units show wear.
