INN ON DESTIN HARBOR, AN ASCEND COLLECTION HOTEL, Destin

The property sits directly on Destin Harbor, offering immediate access to the waterfront. Destin Harbor Boardwalk is just 2 km away, and the harbor village area is a 10-minute walk, lined with restaurants, shops, and boat docks. Henderson Beach State Park is 6 km away; the nearest Gulf beach is about a 7-8 minute drive. A water taxi stops at the pier next to the hotel, providing a convenient way to bypass Highway 98 traffic and parking issues. Fort Walton Beach is 13 km east, and Eglin Air Force Base is 18 km away. The airport is 30-35 minutes by car; no shuttle is available, but local taxi numbers can be provided.

The property offers double, family, and wheelchair-accessible rooms. All units have a private bathroom with a shower (some with a bath), a hairdryer, a seating area with a sofa, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Rooms are air-conditioned and include a tea and coffee maker. A mini refrigerator is standard in every room. Harbor-front rooms have a private balcony overlooking the water; city-view rooms face the parking lot. Higher floors can be requested. The overall condition is dated-renovations began three years ago but the property shows its age in hallway noise, peeling paint, and worn fixtures. Rooms lack dressers; the seating area may serve as luggage space. Noise between rooms and from hallways can be significant, making a room away from high-traffic areas advisable for light sleepers.

Breakfast is included and offered as a continental buffet with limited hot options such as pre-heated boiled eggs. Pastries, bagels, yogurt, and hot drinks are provided. The on-site bar operates from 7 am until 4 am, offering draft beers, pre-mixed cocktails, frozen daiquiris, wines, and champagne. There is no restaurant; guests can use the snack bar and coffee house on site. Several restaurants are within a 0.5 km walk, including seafood houses, pizzerias, and BBQ. A free golf cart shuttle service within the harbor district helps reach nearby dining without a car.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms. Parking is free and private on site, with accessible parking spaces; no reservation is needed, but spaces are limited and first-come, first-served-returning after exploring may require waiting for a spot. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out, concierge service, and luggage storage. Daily housekeeping is available only on request, and the cleaning team may not be available if requested after mid-afternoon. Laundry service is available for an additional charge. The property is wheelchair accessible, with a lift, roll-in showers in accessible rooms, grab rails, raised toilets, and Braille/tactile signage. Key card access, CCTV, and security alarms are in place. Business facilities include free fax/photocopying.
